Prologue
I stood in a sunrise this morning.
Of all things great and small,
I stand, a solitary speck in the
universe.
My soul bare, my body tired,
My thoughts in a place long in
the past,
And I remembered.
As
the gentle breeze of another soul passes through me,
It touches my thoughts, leaving only memories.
I have to wonder, what
really matters in the end.
Once again I see my own mortality
very clear,
As a life journeys to the next
existence,
And I feel the empty void that is left
behind.
I stand in the
wake of a parting spirit,
Who bids a subtle farewells,
To those who listen with their
heart.
I wonder what really does matter
in the end.
As I stood in a sunset tonight,
My soul bare, my body tired,
My thoughts far away,
And I remembered;
Nothing else,
I just remembered.
